The World

The way we see the world
shapes the way we treat it. If a
mountain is a deity, not a pile
of ore; if a river is one of the
veins of the land, not a potential
irrigation water; if a forest is a
sacred grove, not timber; if
other species are biological
kin, not resources; or if the
planet is our mother, not an
opportunity – then we will
treat each other with greater
respect.Thus is the challenge,
to look at the world from a
different perspective.
~ David Suzuki

Earth Day

A day to pause to reflect on gratitude for this
beautiful blue planet on which we live;
to remember that we are the Earth’s caretakers.
Let us tend it as the fragile and precious gift that it is.

Remember

Remember that when you leave this earth,
you can take nothing with you that you have received,
only what you have given: a full heart enriched by
honest service, love sacrifice and courage.
~ Saint Francis of Assisi

Money

Money can buy a house, but not a home.
Money can buy a bed, but not sleep.
Money can buy a clock, but not time.
Money can buy a book, but not knowledge.
Money can buy food, but not appetite.
Money can buy your friends, but not love.
