If the mountain seems to big today
\nthen climb a hill instead.
\nIf the morning brings you sadness
\nit’s ok to stay in bed.
\nIf the day ahead ways heavy
\nand your plans feel like a curse,
\nthere’s no shame in rearranging,
\ndon’t make yourself feel worse.
\nIf a shower stings like needles
\nand a bath feels like you’ll drown,
\nif you haven’t washed your hair for days,
\ndon’t throw away your crown.
\nA day is not a lifetime
\na rest is not defeat,
\ndon’t think of it as failure,
\njust a quiet, kind retreat.
\nIt’s ok to take a moment
\nfrom an anxious, fractured mind,
\nthe world will not stop turning
\nwhile you get realigned.
\nThe mountain will still be there
\nwhen you want to try again,
\nyou can climb it in your own time,
\njust love yourself ’til then.<\/p>\n
