Life is so short.
We spend so much time sweating the small stuff;
worrying, complaining, gossiping, comparing,
wishing, wanting and waiting for something bigger and better
instead of focusing on all the simple blessings that surround us everyday.
Life is so fragile and all it takes is a simple moment
to change everything you take for granted.
Focus on what’s important and be grateful!
Life is not the way it is supposed to be.
It is the way it is.
The way you cope with it is what makes the difference.
~ Virginia Satir
If the mountain seems to big today
then climb a hill instead.
If the morning brings you sadness
it’s ok to stay in bed.
If the day ahead ways heavy
and your plans feel like a curse,
there’s no shame in rearranging,
don’t make yourself feel worse.
If a shower stings like needles
and a bath feels like you’ll drown,
if you haven’t washed your hair for days,
don’t throw away your crown.
A day is not a lifetime
a rest is not defeat,
don’t think of it as failure,
just a quiet, kind retreat.
It’s ok to take a moment
from an anxious, fractured mind,
the world will not stop turning
while you get realigned.
The mountain will still be there
when you want to try again,
you can climb it in your own time,
just love yourself ’til then.
~ Laura Ding-Edwards
May your week be filled with good thoughts,
kind people, and happy moments.
To be aware of a single shortcoming within oneself is more
useful than to be aware of a thousand in somebody else.
~ Dalai Lama
May your troubles be less
And your blessings be more.
And nothing but happiness
Comes through your door.
Don’t wait for the perfect moment, take the moment and make it perfect.
When you hold grudges, your hands aren’t free to catch Blessings.
Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets.
So love the people who treat you right
and forget about the ones who don’t.
And believe that everything happens for a reason…
if you get a chance – take it;
if it changes your life – let it.
Nobody said that it would be easy…
They just promised it would be worth it.
People are like stained glass-windows.
They sparkle and shine when the sun is out,
but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty
is revealed only if there is a light from within.
~ Elisabeth Kubler-Ross
